Thunderstorm Advisory for Mimaropa

Thunderstorm is affecting portion of ‪#‎Albay‬ (Legazpi City, Daraga, Mt. Mayon, Guinobatan, Ligao City, Manito), ‪#‎OrientalMindoro‬ (Calapan City, Naujan, San Teodoro), ‪#‎Marinduque‬(Boac, Gasan, Torrijos),‪#‎Catanduanes‬ (Pandan, Caramoran, Panganiban), ‪#‎Romblon‬ (Romblon, Sibuyan Is. Tablas Is. Romblon), ‪#‎Masbate‬ (Cawayan), ‪#‎NorthernSamar‬(Palapag) and nearby areas which may persist within 30mins to 1hour.
All are advised to take precautionary measures against heavy rains, strong winds, lightning and possible flashfloods & landslides. Keep monitoring for the weather updates.

Yaman ng Mimaropa: Marinduque, tampok sa Cinema in the Open Air




Kilala ang Marinduque sa Moriones.

Pero hindi lang si Longino ang ipinagmamalaki ng lalawigang tinaguriang Puso ng Pilipinas.

Ngayong linggo, tunghayan ang iba pang kulturang-yaman ng Marinduque sa dokumentaryong "Yaman ng Mimaropa", sa ganap na ika-pito't kalahati ng gabi sa Cinema in the Open Air,  sa Maynila.

Ang "Yaman ng Mimaropa," isang produksyon ng National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), ay dokumentaryong naglalagom ng mga kulturang yaman ng rehiyon.

Ang tradisyon sa Marinduque, ay sumasalamin sa lalim ng pananampalataya ng mga kababayan at ang kuneksyon nito sa kalusugan, pakikipag-kapwa-tao at iba pang mahalaga bahagi ng buhay.

Ang pagpapalabas ng "Yaman ng Mimaropa" sa Cinema in the Open Air ay isang proyekto ng NCCA at ng National Parks Development Committee.

Bantay Eleksyon (Election Watch)



The Marinduque Police Provincial Office is using a GIS application that identifies the locations of voting centers. Clicking the yellow character would reveal the names of police officers assigned in every voting center. The color of the character, yellow, also indicate that the election has not started yet.

PNP-AFP security collaboration in Marinduque


Marinduque Police Provincial Director Alessandro Abella (foreground left) trades stories with 74th Infantry Battalion (IB) Commander Ernest John C. Jadloc (foreground right) outside of the Provincial Election Monitoring Action Center in Camp Maximo Abad. The Quezon province- based 74th IB set up Task Force Marinduque  to support the MPPO in maintaining peace and order during the elections in Marinduque.

Deployment in Voting Centers



Police Chief Inspector Elmer Manalo, operations chief of the Marinduque Police Provincial Office, shows a directory of police personnel assignment at every voting center. These officers will be the ones dealiing with the Board of Election Inspectors.

Voters' population in Marinduque


A board shows the distribution of voters in all municipalities of Marinduque. The Marinduque Police Provincial Office is running the Provincial Election Monitoring Action Center at Camp Colonel Maximo Abad in Boac town.

MPPO aims for safe and honest elections in Marinduque


Marinduque Police Provincial Director Allessandro C. Abella in his office during an interview. PD Abella assures kababayans in Marinduque that the Marinduque Police Provincial Office (MPPO) will do its best to maintain peace and order and achieve a safe and honest elections this Monday.

A parade princess gets her power drink while riding  her royal cart in Boac, Marinduque Sunday afternoon. Santacruzans are held every May in most places of the country like Boac which has a population of 52,982 but with only 29,559 registered voters.

Marinduque's voting population

The Provincial Election Monitoring Action Center, as of Saturday (May 7),  reported that the province  has 131,351 registered voters out of a population of 236, 594. Marinduque's most populated municipality  is Sta. Cruz with 55,192 kababayans. Out of the 6 municipalities, Sta. Cruz has also the biggest number of registered voters totalling to 33,394.
