QUEZON CITY, February 14 (PIA) --- Mimaropans are ready to
run this Sunday for "Ready..Tsekap…Go."
The Run, dubbed as the "2nd
Nationwide Simultaneous PhilHealth Run” aims to generate public awareness
about the health care benefits for members. The Run’s carrier theme is the
primary care benefit package or ‘TSeKaP’ (Tamang Serbisyo para sa Kalusugan ng Pamilya)to
instill among target participants, particularly those in the vulnerable sectors
of society, the importance of having a first line of defense against costly
hospitalization.
PhilHealth Region IV-B’s site
for the Run is Lipa City.
Arlene Villena, Chief Social
Insurance Officer for Marketing and Membership, was thankful to the 2,033
people who have signed up early for the Run and essentially took all the slots
for Region IV-B.
The primary beneficiaries of
the run, Ms. Villena said, are persons with disabilities.
For Lipa City, the recipients
are the Punla Ka Regional Inst. For Special People Inc., Batangas Province
Association of Disabled Persons Inc. and AKAPIN Batangan Inc.
Reminders for the participants
to be in the site ahead of the assembly time: for the 3K race (5:45 am), 5k
(5:15 Am) and 20k (4:15 Am)
The 3K run will start from SM
Lipa (Brgy. Balintawak), then U-turn at the front of South Supermarket
back to SM Lipa.
For the 5K run, the area will
cover from SM Lipa (Brgy. Mataas na Lupa), BPI (Brgy. Marawoy), TILE DEPOT and
back to SM Lipa.
And finally for the 20 K Run,
the area will cover SM Lipa - Brgy. Mataas na Lupa, BPI (Brgy. Bugtong)
SMCP Trading and back to SM Lipa.
First prize winners will
receive Php 3,000 for the 3K run (men and women), Php 5,000 for the 5K (men and
women) and Php 15,000 for the 20K (men and women).
